Time was of the essence! We taped a flyer on the door of every apartment house. Next we took inventory of our booze stock, which ended up being a smart move! Although we thought we knew our guests pretty well, we clearly underestimated and witnessed shortly thereafter not only how much they are capable of drinking, but also how much they enjoy being part of a great goodbye party. The announcement read to get together Friday, February 25th between 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM, so that everyone could go to dinner first, thinking the food would be a solid foundation to absorb the booze consumed afterwards at our party. Little did we anticipate the things to come. Everybody showed up, laughed, ate snacks, drank and enjoyed each other's company. The amount of drinks consumed was almost scary, as we saw our booze stock reduced to almost nothing. Some even skipped dinner and joined us for a good time and somewhere around 1:30 AM everyone had enough liquid in their bodies to last for the next couple of days easily.

The event was a huge success. Lots of talking and lots of laughter. New friendships made and old ones renewed. Phone numbers exchanged and plans for the next get-together arranged. And we realized once more, how relaxed and happy our guests are when they make our apartment house their home, even if just for a short while! Knowing and experiencing this first hand makes all our hard work and caring for our guests worthwhile. And you can rest assured that when you return, we will spoil you not only with our top service and family style friendship that you have come accustomed to, but also promise that our fridge and drink inventory will be fully restocked.
